A California man was arrested for allegedly selling his 14-year-old daughter in exchange for 100 cases of beer, several cases of meat, and $16,000 in cash.  If that wasn’t stupid enough, the 36-year-old man reported the deal to police when he didn’t receive the payment. 

Police arrested the man Sunday on human trafficking charges, and also arrested the 18-year-old male buyer for statutory rape.  Apparently the girl went willingly with the buyer, but she’s too young to legally consent under California law.
